♦ According to Merlin Official Facebook, "some of the cast" will be attending the National TV Awards ceremony on January 25th, though no specific names are given yet. Vote Merlin for Best Drama at this link, and check this link or call 0844 847 2536 to buy tickets to the event at the O2 London.
♦ Blurb about the S3 DVD, which will be released on January 17th in the US, from the Wall Street Journal: This British Broadcasting Corp. series tosses Arthurian legend and gives it a fresh, teenage perspective. Here, Arthur is a bullying prince learning to be king and Camelot's future is in the hands of teenage Merlin, who's coping with his powers at a time when magic is banned. John Hurt voices the Great Dragon, and in Season 3, Merlin takes him for a spin. In the "Making of Merlin" extra, viewers visit the nationally owned castle in France where much of the series is filmed. Season 4 is airing on Syfy.
